Secretum Meum Mihi Press publishes a spirituality newsletter, books and internet content for busy Catholic women. Secretum Meum Mihi is Latin for “My secret is mine,” which was Edith Stein’s response when questioned about her conversion to the Catholic faith in 1922. She is best known for her Essays on Woman, a book of lectures she gave on Catholic feminism. She worked at a Catholic high school (1922-1932), university (1932-33) and then joined the Carmelites (1934-42). Her writing time in the cloister was confined to 15-30 minute breaks. Even so, she managed to finish several books!
Let's hear it for Catholic women who can multi-task!
The flagship newsletter Secretum Meum Mihi is for women who don't fit the usual categories: left, right, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative...whatever! We profile women from all walks of life -- single, married, consecrated, widowed, divorced, etc. The way we see it, each one of us probably could be that Samaritan woman at the well, amazed that Jesus saw right through to her heart and loved her for herself!
We invite you to check us out, and tell your friends if you like the newsletter. Let Edith encourage you! |
